The Buffalo Stagecoach is simple. Take two parts rock, one country, one folk, a splash of punk, and three parts Rainier Beer.
Then put it in Seattle- even though one guy is from Alaska and another is from Tacoma. One guy grew up in Seattle, but he wasn’t there when this thing got started. That was 2007 or 2008 (depending on what you count), even though it sounds like nobody in the band has ever listened to a record made after 1977. Simple.
Or maybe it’s not simple. Maybe blues shuffles aren’t supposed to go along with classic rock riffs and country slide guitar. Maybe rock bands should have bass players. Maybe musicians should sing songs about good times, not ones about working too hard. Maybe three guys from the Northwest can’t play music with a twang.
But really, we think it’s simple. We think this is music for people who work hard and give a shit (about having a good time). We think we should have a guitar solo in every song (even if it’s a short one). We think is the music that should play on a road trip or in a greasy bar.
Maybe it’s your kind of music.
